We are interested in causes and prevention of coronary artery disease. Our clinical and scientific expertise includes atherosclerosis, factors contributing to to coronary artery disease in women, arterial hypertension, chronic kidney disease, obesity and diabetes. We also study mechanisms and clinical aspects of steroid hormone action. Since the inception of Molecular Internal Medicine 20 years ago, we have been continuously funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF).
